Biotium Live Bacterial Gram Stain Kit - 800 assays
The Live Bacterial Gram Stain Kit contains wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) conjugated to CF594 to stain the surface of gram-positive cells with red fluorescence. The kit also includes DAPI to stain all bacteria. Wheat germ agglutinin binds specifically to N-acetylglucosamine in the peptidoglycan layer of gram-positive bacteria. CF594 is spectrally similar to Texas Red, but with brighter fluorescence. The kit also includes DAPI to stain the DNA of all bacteria with blue fluorescence. Gram-positive bacteria stained using this kit will show a fluorescent blue interior and fluorescent red cell surface, while gram-negative bacteria will be stained with blue fluorescence only. This kit contains sufficient reagent for 800 assays.

Live-or-Dye™ Fixable Viability Staining Kits are cell membrane impermeable amine-reactive dyes designed for discrimination between live and dead cells during flow cytometry. The dyes are able to enter into dead cells that have compromised membrane integrity and covalently label free amines on intracellular proteins. The dye labeling is extremely stable, allowing the cells to be fixed and permeabilized without loss of fluorescence or dye transfer between cells. The Live-or-Dye™ staining protocol has been optimized to maximize live/dead discrimination with minimal live cell staining, in order to prevent interference with immunostaining. Live-or-Dye™ Fixable Viability Stains are dead cell specific in all cell types, including mammalian cells, bacteria and yeast. Live-or-Dye™ 594/614 is suitable for excitation by 488 nm or 561 nm laser line. This kit has sufficient reagent for 200 assays.

The IL-22 gene includes five exons and a 537 bp-long open reading frame that encodes for a 179 amino acid protein. IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 family of cytokines, which also includes IL-19, -20, -24, and -26, IL-28A/B, and IL-29 and IFNlambda. Mouse and human IL-22 share 79% homology. IL-22 is mainly produced by lymphocytes, such as T helper type 1 Th1, Th17, Th22, CD8 T cells, gammadelta T cells, natural killer cells, lymphoid tissue inducer cells, innate lymphoid type 3 ILC3 cells, and also by neutrophils. IL-22 has two heterodimeric transmembrane receptors, IL-22R1 and IL-10R2, which subsequently activate the JAK/STAT3, ERK and JNK pathways.
